The poem is about being scared of strange noises when out walking. |

Scared Stupid One day I was walking and I heard a noise. I stopped and the noise stopped too. I started walking again and the noise started too. There was no one around just me. I thought to myself it is a person trying to scare me. But that did not stop me. I kept going and the noise kept going with me so I decided to run instead of walking. The noise got louder and louder. I was scared of my mind and went to my car and the noise stopped. I knew I was crazy because it was just me in the park that night. Later that evening my husband asked me how was my walk and I said you do not want to know. He kept nagging until I told him. I told him that I was hearing a noise. The noise would stop when I did and when I moved it started up again. He was laughing and laughing and I did not think it was funny. He stopped laughing and said,” Honey the noise you hear was your shoes.” I look back at that and laugh to myself. I got scared for nothing. |
