e-mail to someone who is coming to do an observation on me
Good afternoon,
As you know I am working with ten different classrooms. My schedule can change at any given day to accommodate the teachers, and their schedules. However, the one I am forwarding is the regular schedule. The groups of students I work with change as the ongoing assessments identify different areas that students need further instruction in. Additionally, my lessons can also change at any given day if a teacher asks me to work on a skill or lesson that she identifies that the students can use additional instruction in. Somedays I work with small groups of students in the classroom, or small group instruction is conducted in my classroom.
Currently I am working on ELA in most of my groups. In third grade I am working with small groups on written responses to selections they have read. I incorporate whatever skill that are being taught in the classroom, that week, in my lessons. I differentiate the lessons to meet the individual needs of the students I am working with.
In fourth grade we are preparing the students for their first five paragraph essay. I am working with students on how to properly fill in a four square which will help them produce better writing pieces.
In fifth grade I am also working with students on how to correctly respond to selections they have read. We are working on how to correctly answer multiple choice questions, and produce written responses to open response questions. Additionally, I incorporate lessons on skills that have been identified as the students weaknesses. I am also working with fifth graders on math. Currently we are working on adding, subtracting, comparing, and converting fractions,
