A poem for a former flame. |
Grief has no hold over this –now- her most merciless daughter. Instead, I vow vengeance more glorious than the dawn. I will, Augusta, claim my heart back from your slaughter. It can’t continue to dote and fawn Especially not on you. Nay, my soul will be rested away from the world. I will become Hades’ better. King of Woe, your Queen descends in suffering. Ka, heavier than a feather, I can and will ensnare you. I demonized myself to protect you Even hoped you could at least confess- Augusta, the words still escape you. For the love you forced me to repress I will eviscerate you. No thanks for tears and bloodshed You broke my heart and turned it bitter To the point where my life hung by thread And snapped. In death the threads of fate are now mine to command You will feel the emptiness and despair I suffered at your hand. She will allow me to trap you in crushing darkness. No one else there for you. Grief has no hold over this, her most unstable daughter Instead I claim unholy vengeance darker than oblivion. I have reclaimed my heart with slaughter. I continue to dote and fawn On the death of you. |
