Hello everyone! My name is Kristen! I live in Missouri, USA. I am in high school and I absolutely love it! I am utterly passionate about school and basketball. In that order. My grades are amazing (I'm ranked number two out of one hundred and seventeen people in my class) and I love all my classes. I love playing basketball. I have been playing for over six years now... How time flies when you're having fun. :] My favorite college team is KU. I'm still mad that they lost like all of their starters!! My favorite players are Michael Beasly who is now playing for the NBA and Tyler Hansborough who plays for North Carolina. His second cousin or something works with my mom. It's pretty cool. :] I've played a couple JV games this year so I'm excited. :] ---Kristen's Stuff---
This is my newest project. It's kind of weird how I'm writing it. The way I am doing it is I am writing it from the ending to the beginning. This project is my New Year's Resolution. I want to actually finish a story without giving up on it. :] Leave Out all the Rest: The title might be changed in the future. So far, this story is about Linsey and Christian, two juniors in high school who are kidnappde while out on a date. They wake up in a science lab and glass tanks. Somehow they escape, and Christian tells Linsey that he was a science experiment that escaped from the lab. He can do some extraordinary stuff (I haven't decided what yet). Linsey and Christian are on the run from crazy body guards all sent by a man named Robert Lacroi. He was the man who experimented on Christian, and now he wants him back. It's a mad chase all across Chicago in the course of two weeks. Hope you enjoy it. :]
The Dog Tags: This is a short story I wrote as an assignment for my challenge communication arts class. We were supposed to write a story with symbolism, and I began to wonder what a set of dog tags would mean to the daughter of a soldier. Please Read, Rate and Review. I'm thinking of expanding on it! (If anybody notices that Raymie's last name is Lugosi, and her friends name is Bela, and know that Bela Lugosi is the protaganist in Dracula, you are smart! I didn't realize what I'd done until after I'd handed in the assignment! :] )
Stepping Up: A short story I wrote for my eighth grade English class. We were reading The Outsiders in Reading and so we were supposed to write a story about a realistic event that could happen to anybody. I chose to write about a tightly knit basketball team in Wichita, Kansas who are on their way to the State championships when their star player dies. This is about the struggle to remain sane in the face of despair and possibly a huge fight. I am also thinking of expanding this one. Thanks for stopping by!
