Clear as a fogless night
Leaning into a balcony light
Pearing down to the rocky ground
Hearing the whispers shouting loud
Calming voices seep through skin
Wondering if ears will hear again
Toxins linger in my blood
Barefoot strangers stirring a flood
Exposed, enclosed in this empty mind
Seeing red I leap steps at a time
So why you dare make that call
To hurt my pride and bear it all
My pride,
This pride,
Inside I shake
As red, as red these lips were that night
Too much at stake
Never letting red out of sight.
Silence - how loud it shouts.
Screams - how low were pouts.
The wind blows gently through ashfault hair
Gleaming to the blurred faces all with hollow stare
Good day I say to all that speak
Good night I lay I've reached my peak
Tomorrow I wake, wake to sky
Tomorrow I wake, wake to fly.
Fly I will, to the blue
No more red I must read to you.
All will be good, someday one day
Until then, I say
Good day Red Good day.
