Special Contribution & Lifetime Achievement ▼
Special Contribution
Criteria: nominee must have made a unique, specific, and merit-based overall contribution to the site that isn't covered by any other Quill category
For the sake of clarity, just being a generally positive, generous, supportive, etc. member of the community does not qualify for a Spec Con award; however, these attributes may round out unique, specific, and merit-based overall contributions to the site.
Addition Considerations:
A member cannot win Special Contribution for two (2) full years after receiving the award. They are eligible in the fourth awards cycle following their win.
Depending on nominations and eligibility, the Special Contribution award may not be awarded in a given year.
Where Special Contribution is awarded, there is typically one (1) award per year. Judges may add additional awards at their discretion. |
Lifetime Achievement
Criteria: nominee must have been a member for ten (10) years, with a diverse body of work and merit-based contributions to the site.
For the sake of clarity, long-term membership is not an automatic qualification for eligibility. Being positive, generous, supportive, etc. can round out the overall nomination, but contributions should be specific and merit-based.
Addition Considerations:
A member can only win lifetime achievement once, but is still eligible for special contribution in subsequent years, provided they meet the eligibility requirements.
Depending on nominations and eligibility, the Lifetime Achievement award may not be awarded in a given year.
Where Lifetime Achievement is awarded, there is typically one (1) award per year. Judges may add additional awards at their discretion. |
