I'd never thought about Huntington being safe, but now that I do, I don't see it as being dangerous at all. Like you said, it's not the swinging hot spot for terrorists, is it! That's one thing I keep telling myself over and over, since I haven't flown after 9/11 and am nervous about the whole thing (though I feel idiotioc saying that. I can't let myself be lured into the "fear factor" that's pulled many down): No one is going to want to crash a plane into Fort Wayne!!! What would they hit, FWDC?? C'mon, Caitlin. I am flying out of SF, though, and, as Nathan keeps gleefully teasing me, someone could try to crash the plane into the Golden gate Bridge. Bah humbug, I say! I never hear about child abuse where I live, for some reason. I hear so many parents going over the top with their kids in public, yelling and screaming and raging and ranting. Urrrrgh. One time I went and stood right next to this lady who was scolding her kids very sternly over nothing and shaking their arms while the kids cried out that it hurt. I just stood there, looking at some shirts, occasionally looking right at her. It was intense, but I think she kind of realized that what she was doing was wrong. It's like if other people are right there witnessing your bad side, you won't be prone to do it again in public. That doesn't solve the problem of what goes on at home, though... |
