TODAY IS THE DAY. Gosh, I wish the whole world could vote. Look how much the president of the US affects the entire planet. All those women in poor countries who weren't able to get proper family planning because of Bush should vote. The foreigners whose family members were dragged into the Iraq war should vote. Etc. I voted! Mum and I went into town to the shabby, homey, friendly Senior Center and stood in two of the four booths and voted. I checked over and over to make sure that my eyes hadn't deceived me -- I was really filling in the bubble for JOHN F. KERRY and not GEORGE W. BUSH. And I got a sticker that says, "I Voted" on it. Majorly chill. I'm so sorry I haven't been here much. I have rehearsal 5 days a week now, and I work on weekends, so I feel like I'm never home! Let's all close our eyes and pray, too, for Kerry. I feel rather calm, for some reason. My life is so excellently excellent right now that I'm not about to ruin it over two silly middle-aged men fighting it out. Does that sound selfish? But I think it's good to have inner peace in potentially traumatizing situations like these. I've got to leave for a costume fitting, but Thursday I should be able to get back here because rehearsal got cancelled for that day. BYE!!! I might get on here again and rant and rave about the election, if we even know by then... Hugs for everyone. |
