I don't think I really have that, where you start thinking about the fragility of life and get scared. Cherie was seriously sick last year. Mercury poisoning leads to so many degenerative conditions/diseases that it literally is deadly. Cherie wasn't dying, but in some of her panic moments (panic can be caused from mercury!) she'd get weepy and talk about how if we didn't help her to get well, she'd die. Which, I guess, was the bare truth. But I didn't let myself think about that; none of us had any other option in our minds, of course, except to do everything we had to do to get her well. I never believed that she wouldn't fully recover, even though she'd get panicky about whether she'd never be healthy. When you're in a situation like that, I guess you just grit your teeth and do what you need to do. She's made such an amazing recovery in just a few short months! I hate looking at photos of her last winter -- she looks so incredibly different then than she does now. She was all puffy, her skin was kind of gray, she just looked really sick. Now she's thinner and her skin glows! Visit my web site at http://elizabeth.bouma-holtrop.com! |
