Re: Re: Re: Re: Health stuff
Your mom has it?! Does she do anything special to control it? As far as I can gather it doesn't need a lot of controlling, but the symptoms can be unpleasant, even if it's not life-threatening. I'm sorry she's borderling diabetes -- I didn't know that.

Today was good, but the past couple days haven't been so good. It's hard to adjust to eating at the right times and drinking enough water, but as I look back through the past months and even years, I'm seeing a lot of signs that I may have had this and never realized it. Partly, that's cool because I don't have to worry that it's going to kill me if I ignore it sometimes -- I survived this long, right? But it's also kind of weird; why didn't I realize it before now?! It could've saved me a lot of annoying incidents of jitters and bad moods...but maybe I wouldn't have been able to cope with it a year or so ago when I had so much other crap going on in my life. I firmly believe that things come to us at certain times in our lives for a reason. If I discovered this about my health now instead of in the past, perhaps it's because it wasn't the right time until now, because I wouldn't have been able to handle it/the news would have freaked me out/or something else!

Those lumps sound scary. I have lumps in my breasts that I think are called "breast buds." I know that my cousins both got them around the begining of adolescence (we used to have huddled girl-talk discussions in Nana's basement at Christmas family get-togethers), but I always assumed they'd go away. I used to be convinced I had cancer. But Rachel has them, too, so I don't worry about it much. Maybe they're just fat or something.

We got really into lymph nodes ("into" lymph nodes?! Whatever) when Cherie was really sick in the past year. Do you think maybe you had a reaction to your deodorant or soap or lotion or anything else you might have put on your skin? Maybe your poor lymph nodes didn't like a product you're using, the bug bite aggravated it to such an extent that it swelled up, and then the other side swelled in sympahty?! This is all just pure conjecture...I am not a qualified medical practitioner. *Pthb*

Poor baby having blood drawn! I'm such a coward when it comes to blood. Clarece had to poke me twice to take my blood when I went to the Mother Nature's Nook, and Steve poked me the other day to read my blood. When Steve did it it hurt a lot more and we had to keep squeezing it to get a drop big enough for the machine to take a reading. Ouchy.
