You can't really prevent it, you get it, or you don't.
It is an auto-immune disease, but it will hit you harder and faster if you're body is out of shape.
That isn't really the case with my dad, he always eats pretty healthy.
Most people with Crohns disease are on a diet, but the thing it that there isn't just one diet for people with Crohn's disease. Milk can make one person really sick, and at the same time be very helpful for another person with Crohns disease.
He'll have to find out what he can and cannot eat by himself..
He's not in pain anymore now, but he has been in a lot of pain the first 1 1/2 week. Glad he's doing so much better now!
