Chronic Pain Awareness

I didn't know this forum was here. Imagine...a place where folks don't roll their eyes when you mention pain. Wow.

I won't start by talking about all my pains. But what bugs me the most is that my docs won't address all of my problems/pains as a whole. (I don't have a choice in doctors, since I have no income and I'm on a state medicaid.) They just want to address today's problem, not my entire body.

Last month, I finally wrote down all my symptoms and went searching the Internet to see if they meant something. Bingo. The list of symptoms for fibromyalgia is identical to the one I typed for my docs about what I'm experiencing.

Then I discovered that the closest doc who deals with this is about 100 miles away. Sigh.

That's my story for the day...
