I've read all the posts but didn't have time to reply then, so, let's see if I can remember the news.... Caitlin, congratulations on getting into the show!! I'm so excited for you, and, yes, a little jealous. You'll have to tell us all about how it goes! I'm dying of curiosity. How are rehearsals going? When do you open? How many shows will you have? I still need to get a video of the April dance show I was in. The Dance Collective sells professionally edited videos of their shows for $20 apiece, so I guess I'll fork over the cash, just to see for myself how big of a fool I made of myself on that stage! (My family says it was great, but I'm not sure I trust them, especially since I was the one dancing, and I don't think I did that great a job on the actual performance night. I wish the Dance Collective had the funds to put on more than just one performance of a show! Eh, it's what you get for getting involved with a low-budget hippie organization, I guess.) Ellie, I finally finished putting together a package for you, and I'll mail it as soon as I can get down to the post office -- hopefully, soon! Caitlin, I'm sorry about the stuff between you and your dad. I would think a family meeting would be a good place to work out some of that kind of stuff, or at least begin to work it out. Of course, if your siblings aren't really involved in it, they might resent being involved -- maybe you don't need the whole family, but just a mediator? Sounds like your mom, in typical harmonious mother fashion, is willing to help try putting things to rights between you and him. Any luck so far? I'd hate to see you move out because you don't like living with your parents! Eh, just my opinion. Nobody can make other people's decisions for them. Let me know how it's going!! It's a beautiful, sunny day, so I think I'll get off my computer and go read outside. Visit my web site at http://elizabeth.bouma-holtrop.com! |
