The delete action is always confirmed. Accidentally clicking it will do no harm as long as you don't take the additional step to confirm it's complete deletion. Moving the delete link around the tool bar only serves to put it somewhere else where it can accidentally be clicked... thus our confirmation screens relating to any important action on the site.
