Are you writing for publication?

I defienately feel your pain. You've travelled down many more paths than I have, but the road ahead still seems dark, lonely and very frightening.

I've just started submitting, but my only replies have been "Your story no longer fits our format", with nothing encouraging or constructive. I'd like to write a novel one day and ahve three that I would barely consider "Works In Progress" but i'm still trying to navigate the short story markets before I venture into a three month write/rewrite/edit cycle on a novel that will have to be sold without any pubslihed credits.
