I knew that about exercise (though I admit I haven't tried vigorous exercise specifically for my health recently), but I hadn't heard that about iron (or I'd forgotten hearing it). Hmmmm. I take a multi vitamin on occasion, but I think it has calcium as well as iron. Does that mean one is negating the other? I read in a Hal Huggins book (well, Cherie read it and relayed it to me) that most calcium supplements on the market are the wrong kind -- they're just ground up stone. That'd be like grinding up a nail and swallowing it as your iron supplement! (Hal's metaphor, not mine.) You must never take off your smarty pants! I love when you give me tidbits of information. I hate finding out factoids and stuff. I only know what I know from living with a bunch of "information gatherers" (on the Myers-Briggs) scale. I am so not of that temperament.
