Majorly chill! Movies?! Hell yes! I love movies made by teenagers who have something cool or quirky or fascinating to express. I love video cameras, and scripts, and being filmed. Vain, ain't I?
My problem with people on stage who act is that...I don't know...it's just not real. The typical high school play has the female lead sighing after every sentence and using this cheesy worried/sweet/over-the-top-in-a-kind-of-subtle-way tone. No, no, no! That's not how real people talk!
When I auditioned, I used lots of subtleties and thought that would do the trick. I wanted to bury my head in the sand like an ostrich, however, when I saw those amazing older women audition and nail the character of a feisty 13-year old better than I did, that's for sure.
Hey, speaking of Annie...has she mentioned me at all in her letters? I sent her a couple mix tapes, a good 4 or 5 pounds of swap, and an equally weighty letter last summer, but I haven't heard a peep from her since. I wonder what's going on? I sure miss her!
