Re: Alien
lol. Yeah, baby aliens, hey?!

Re. Chloe: She was at work today and one of our friends had an accident and fainted and she hurt her belly trying to catch him so he didn't hit his head on the till. She got sent home from work early, but everything's fine. I was just speaking to her and she says hello. She's a bit annoyed with mum at the moment because mum keeps giving her stupid ultimatums about getting a house and a 'real' job and stuff. Chloe's just changed her hours at work so instead of doing 8 hr shifts, she's split them in half and will work shorter shifts, but on more days, so that she doesn't get tired out so quick. She's still doing the same amount of total hours though, so she won't lose any money!

I had my meeting with my personal tutor and well, things from last semester didn't exactly go to plan... We got the complete grade breakdowns as well as the final averaged marks...

So, I passed Child Psych with a B+ average, which surprised me since I only went to 2 of the lectures! I averaged a C+ for Clinical and Health Psych, a C for Research and Statistics (which I'm pleased about because I find it sooooooo hard!) and then I got an F1 (that means I only just failed) for Personality, Intelligence & Social Psych... But wait for this: The only reason I failed was because I went over the 40 words per answer limit!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you bloody believe it? I failed a class because I wrote too much!

I'm more angry about that exam (that was Caveman Dude's class) than upset, because I know I got most of the questions right, but because I wrote 50-60 words, instead of just 40, you automatically get a zero for that question/answer. I think that's a really unfair mark scheme and I've made an offical complaint about it too and requested to see my paper and have a teacher go through it with me, so I can see what mark I would have gotten....

Now it means I have to travel all the way back to Wales for a day in August to take the re-sit exam. It won't affect my final grade, because this first year's grades only count towards the overall degree class if you mess up your 2nd year, so although I'm disappointed, I know it's not the end of the world and I know I can make the work up...

The exam I had the other day for Perception and Cognition seemed to go okay. I've got my 1st Research & Stats exam thurs afternoon, which I've done zero amount of work and studying for, so I'm thinking I won't pass that either. And my project is due in on tues and then we have another 2 exams the week after that, as well as our oral presentation exam componant, then the data collation using ANOVA factor analysis tests the week after that, before I can finally leave for Easter Vacation on 26th March! So, I'm gonna be a busy gal from here on out methinks! (grrrr)

Glad you had a good time at Zandvoort and were able to come u8p with some possible travelling plans. That sounds like such fun. I've always wondered what it's be like to go on a road trip, but I think I'd spend most of it either asleep, or puking (I get bad travel sickness) so maybe that's not the holiday for me... But hey, to visit other countries in your own time and having the opportunity to do so is amazing in itself, so I really hope your plans come true!!!
