Hi, I'm here again! I had a forum lapse due to that my computer has suddenly lost its mind, Nathan's computer will only load certain webpages (mysteriously, all the ones I go to like writing.com, yahoo, hotmail, freetranslation.com, are pages that won't load!), but thankfully Jasper is fully absorbed in reading the The Chronicles of Narnia books and I can use his. I sang yesterday! And this time it was clear and strong and I forced my damn diaphram to vibrate the way I wanted it to and remembered to breath and stand the way Carol told us to. This weekened I'm auditioning for a little-known musical called "Quilters". It's an all-female cast and tells the story of pioneer women's lives through their quilting, stories of death, marriage, children, women's thoughts and lifestyles as they were in the 1800s, and the hard life of living in a new place (the American frontier). I'm jived. Jello-d. Jumping. Joyous. June bugged. I can't decide what song to sing, though, for the audition: "Think of Me" or "My Favorite Things". The latter shows off my range better, but "My Favorite Things" is what I sang yesterday in class and I'm riding high on that lovely song! "I've never had a humble opinion. If you've got an opinion, why be humble about it?" |
