For those that don't know me... I'm Dione
I live in Charlotte, NC, and have been here for 9 years and counting. I've been writing... about 2 years.

I'm just a few miles south of LMS...
I hear them when the practice, and on race days now that they added the new stand towers on turn #1.

Been in the pits a few times, once on a practice day and my kids got to meet Jeff Gordon.
Great guy! Short, but a great guy with the fans.

Being so close to so many of the crew homes, we have met several of the drivers, and tour a number of hte shops.

My highlight has to be a team outing from work that met at Dale's shop. One of the girls I worked with, her husband trains their pit crews. She got us the executive board room to meet in, and a tour of the shop... including the rarely seen engine rooms. VERY VERY COOL! Course every time Dale was around, I managed to not be in the room, but did see him from a distance a few times. And no, no pictures from that day...
