We make wholewheat pancakes and I gobble them up. I could send you our recipe if you'd like(?). It uses wholewheat flour and oats for a bi-grain type of thing. Yes, we eat wholewheat pasta. We've never made our own; we buy it in bulk from the co-op. It was a little strange when we made the switch (we used to eat a mix of wheat and white, then for several years we ate just white, then switched back a year or so ago), but now I love wholewheat pasta and the white stuff makes me gag! Wholewheat has such an array of special flavors within it. White is...bland, gluey, nassy-bad stuff! Tell me how your homemade pasta turns out! I'd love to hear about it. Oh, by the way, my nana says that grains are one of the most important foods to buy organic. Sometimes about the pesticides they use on grain crops. Do you eat organic grains? Almost all of our grains (chapatis, pastas, flours, crackers) are organic. We do eat Ryvita crackers (hailing from the UK, no less), which are not organic...but everything else is. I was so pleased when Nana told us about that and I realized how organic we've become!
