Holy crike, I never would have thought tha Ann might not have written all the books herself! Her writing style is kind of easy to copy, I think. It's very basic and sort of juvenile, dramatic, and...well, I don't know! I could immitate it easily, and I'm sure you could, too. My writing style when I was 10 was so close to hers. How embarrassing. It would be so much fun for you to read my Sarah and Anna books, for example, just to see how identical my writing was to that of the BSC books. About the mysteries: I remember vaguely wondering a couple times if she got help from others who were stronger in that particular genre. And mysteries aren't too easy to think up, so I don't doubt that! I don't know about the Karen books. I read somewhere that Ann enjoyed writing those best, actually! I really liked the Peter Pan super special, too,and of course the one in which they all went to France and England. And the one when they traveled aross the USA. It was kind of annoying that throughout all the books, people like Alan Gray and Cokie Mason (remember them?) never changed their obnoxious/gross/nerd and prissy/impossible/enemy status, respectively. hanging in the doorway like smoke like mistletoe this is where i'll be whenever you come or go |
