Let's face it, we all need this kind of thing now and then to keep us going. |
Concerning prayer, Jesus said, to paraphrase, don't be as the Sadducees and the Pharisees, who make a public spectacle when they pray, and think that they will be blessed for their much speaking. Also he said that "the Father knows what you have need of" and told us how to pray the Lord's Prayer. I have been a Christian since 1976, having been raised a Catholic. I believe there is a distinction between the two. Anyway, I have tried just about every form of prayer, attempting to get the Father to play cosmic bellboy. I finally came to an understanding, within myself, of the simplicity of prayer. Here is a prose piece I wrote for my prayer. Also, I am posting all of my writing at: poetrypoem.com/poetckingnltnmnt feel free to stop by and comment on my writings. I am sure that there is much to contend with at my site, as I write about abortion, meditation, social issues, and silliness.
