My entry- Eyes of the Ambivalent
Eyes of the Ambivalent

Into the mirror,
I can no longer look through
ambivalent eyes.

It pains me so much to know
my one veiled secret within.

Fear and shame follow-
haunting me like nothing else
I’ve ever fathomed.

My vulnerability
becomes my greatest downfall.

Staring back at me
are the ambivalent eyes
of a lost stranger.

His twisted, crazed obsession-
my endless waking nightmare.
