Re: noticing minors in our e-mail
I'm going to have to say that it's not a likely happening, for the reasons of *child safety.*

Allowing users to see how young or old someone is, in an automated way, would be providing entirely too much information to potential child molestors or other predators. Granted, there is some inherent risk in using the internet, period, but there's no reason to create an endangering scenario. (this is also, I think? part of why there are no rankings on Writing.Com based on how young a person is-- all promotions are subject to how old the user is. *Smile*)

Additionally, this is a writing site used by all ages, but I have heard it said many times that it's "geared toward" adults.
I think thus that it is perfectly fair to expect a certain level of maturity out of all users, young OR old. *Wink*

(just trying to give you my impression of the scenario you described. *Smile*)

(also-- I know when I was younger, the last thing I wanted was for someone to coddle me for being young. *Wink*)

Take care and Write on!
