Re: New static item sub-type?
by Sage
I think that would take away from the purpose of sub-categories. I like knowing what kind of work I am reading (poem, short story, essay, etc) regardless if it is finished or not. The reason for sub-categories are to help the readers narrow in their search of pieces. Having "Work in Progress" would be doing the opposite, giving a more vague description of a work and probably leading people away from viewing it.

The author can put "Work in Progress" in the description if they want or even at the beginning of the piece. I don't feel it is needed as a sub-type. The piece still needs reviewing regardless if it is finished or not. If they didn't want it viewed finished or unfinished, they would put it as private. I can't imagine there being as many people who would want to look just for "Work in Progress"s as there would be for people who look just for "Short Story" or "Novel" or etc. Just my opinion, Twins :)
