Baron Lienhart had watched the entire scene from his perch behind the curtains. The butler had managed to slip him a note even there, but Lien had disregarded it as fanciful.
Finally emerging with renewed confidence (due to the handy-dandy tight garters provided by his friend Sir Jamison), the Baron tiptoed around the guests in the Ballroom, all of whom were still eyeing one another suspiciously.
Making his way through the arched double doors, he strolled (okay fine, waddled) out to the garden, where he spied one of the ball's lovely ladies out for a stroll.
While his previous encounters hadn't been quite successful, always the optimist Baron Lienhart decided to try again. He thought he had heard the butler announce her as Lady Sarinja.
"My lady, good evening. Are you aware that back in the main house, accusations are flying concerning the identity of the murderer?" He stepped in closer to the Lady, close enough to invite confidence but not initimacy. "What think you of all these proceedings?"
