The issue here is that you're using a "Custom In&Out Format"... this copy/paste is exactly what you have in the "Custom" field:

%%blank_line%% = adds an extra blank line when needed
%%text_plain%% = submission's text withOUT WritingML or HTML


So... It seems you've copied and pasted from the custom field instructions.
What you're seeing in the In&Out display is exactly that.

If you'd just like the plain text from the submissions to show, then the only thing that should be in your custom field is:

%%text_plain%%


"%%text_plain%%" is a variable instruction that tells the system to display the plain text of the In&Out submission.
