Welcome to Writing.Com, H. C. Blakemore Author Icon. I suspect most of us worry about what others think of our writings. It's hard not to. But recognizing that feedback is the best way to improve one's writing will set you on your way.

Also, you might consider joining one of the groups that specialize in the genre(s) in which you write. To find them, select Browse By Type in the Navigation menu on the left side of the page. Then select Groups, type your genre in the search box, and press enter. Most groups are member-run so you'll have to contact the host to be added to the group.
