Motivate yourself to conquer your goals this week! Post on Monday; update us on Friday! |
The reading I am doing is influencing how I write. I tried out Rebecca Yarros, the Fourth Wing, or Alas de Sangre. It is the kind of style that it is tempting to copy or mock. I had two of the characters I have created write their own 'romance' from their perspective on Saturday and Sunday. As a result, I am now close to 9,000 words, but my manuscript still lacks a basic plot/story or stakes. Basically, everything. It is a fun break though. So, there's that in its favour. 1-So this week, I will create a list of ten roughly linked scenes every day using these characters to see if something good can happen. Something like Westlake's the Hot rock, or The Producers, or A Midsummer Night's dream. What is stake? what obstacles are in their way? what will they do to get what they think they want? Will they get what they really need? 2. write every day I can 3. do exercise in front of the tv 4. walk to get candies to evolve my shadow magikarp in Pokemon Go. Only need 140 magikarp candies more. 5. read: The schoolhouse by Sophie Ward, Dracula by Bram Stoker, Volkhavaar by Tanith Lee, and Codigo Roto by Jeff Horwitz. Continue Alas de Sangre |
