The blogging streak badge is setup and scheduled to come out March 1st. Look for details then on newsfeed -- but it is a "blog or comment" badge, similar to how the newsfeed badge is post or comment. I had hoped to get it out for January 1st and missed that goal. Then I was going to open last week but decided I wanted it to start on the 1st of a month.

As for other achievements and your other notes… the only option you’ll have is to opt out of achievement badges which can be done from the achievements page at the bottom. Even the review 7 day in a row badge is the same online tracking issue you would have with the other badges. Also, they are community achievements so offering them as a private option I don’t foresee me putting the time into. I understand your concern, and the existing opt-out is the only solution I can offer. I'm not going to give options to plus/minus each individual achievement. Remember, though, you can also set individual badges private as they are received... so if you login and receive a 7 day badge, click to the badge from the email and make it private. (Reminder that private badges don't count towards CR.)

AND yes, I agree on the hub with achievement badges and the hub box. I'm just removing them from the badges box as the "badges given" intention of that box was indeed given by other members, not the system. That's done.
