My Christmas holiday starts today, so this will (probably) be my last bit goal-setting for the year. And it couldn't have gone much better. Writing related goals Write/outline/edit every day: I just completed this goal, finishing of a small piece. The rest of teh week, I got a fair bit of editing done and a bit of writing in between. Editing older stories: As stated above, I got a fair bit of editing done. Not as much as I had hoped, but I might get a little more done today. Do a review: Check. Completed this early in the week. Do a second review: And, check again. It feels good to be reviewing again. I hope I can keep this habit going through the holiday. Be active on Codex: I'm giving myself double marks for this one. I had thought I would only catch up on discussions on the forum, which I did. However, I also got around to posting a bit, and participate in an in-group zoom meeting, which I had not expected to have time for at all. Write an entry for the Pete Wood challenge: Giving myself double marks for this one as well. I finished and submitted a story early in the week. The judge was kind enough to provide some feedback right away, which basically meant I had to write a new entry. I don't think my second entry will win, but it's much better than the first one, and more in line with what the judge wants. So, fingers crossed. Read short stories: I was aiming for one or two stories, and I managed to read/listen to three so far (two published over at Podcastle and one in Uncanny Magazine), so I'm definitely happy with that. Other goals which may be vaguely related to writing Do vocal exercises: Yep. Managed one set of exercises most days and two some days. Get exercise: I still want to get a bit more exercise today, but I feel like I can already check this one off. I got two proper training sessions done, and I've been fairly active in the in-between days as well. / Eat healthier: The only goal where I didn't quite get to where I wanted to. Still, I did manage to reduce my sugar intake somewhat compared to the last couple of weeks. That's it for me. See you in the new year. Happy holidays everyone. |
