I was lucky. Mom encouraged me. My favorite teacher, first grade, had a sister in charge of the Library here. And second grade teacher said I was reading at a 5th grade level. Reading took me on adventures that I would never experience. I still like to lose myself at times between the pages of a good book. *Smile*
