Last week I decided to raise the bar a bit, at least in terms of number of goals I wanted to go. Even though the week ended up with a bit of chaos, I managed surprisingly well. So there only seems one way to go from here, up the bar even further. I'm sticking, roughly, to the same amount of goals as last week, though. However, I'm definitely upping the bar in terms how specific and difficult they are to reach. Writing related goals Write/outline/edit every day: Same number one priority as always. I need to stay consistent. Start editing older stories: I have a couple of old-ish short stories that could use some editing. I think. I need to start working on them or at least figure out if they should be trashed instead. I don't expect to be done with any edits, though. Do a review: I have half a review ready I need to complete and send out. Do a second review: Since I already have half a review ready, I'm aiming to get a second one out as well. Be active on Codex: As always, this is a pretty vague goal. This time, though, I'm not just aiming for catching up on threads. Ideally, I'll be updating my author thread, but if I "only" end participating in forum discussions, I'm okay with that. Write a blog post: For the first time in a long, long time, I have read some short story magazine. So, I think I should start up my once monthly short story review posts again. Other goals which may be vaguely related to writing Do vocal exercises: Same as always. I'm aiming for doing the exercises at least once a day on average throughout the week. Get exercise: Again, a very vague goal, but one or two solid runs/training sessions plus 10-20 minutes light exercises in the in-between days, and I will be happy. Eat healthier: Once again, this is going to be tough, but I'm hoping to just a little better than last week. |
