This week went far better than I could've hoped for. The kids and work are still demanding a lot of time and energy, but it definitely seems like we're settling into our routines again, creating some much needed energy for reading and writing and generally handling whatever else adult life throws at you.
Writing related goals
Write every da: Well, I didn't get nearly as much writing done as I had hoped, considering I had a day of at the beginning of the week. However, all that extra time was spent very productively on stuff we had neglected at home for a while. I did manage to write on my current WiP for four days and edited an older piece on the final day of the week.
Turn in a review: I'll be optimistic and call this a double success. I did a review for "
WYRM"

the other day, and I'm working on another one I hope to have done later today.
Finish tasks for our local SF&F con: Yes, finally! Of course, new tasks keeps popping up, but I did what I could with the tasks I had at the beginning of the week and have seen some progress, so that's nice.
General adult-life goals
Do vocal exercises: Check. Again, I didn't manage to do them every day, but some day I did them more than once, so that's a goal achieved in my book.
Get exercise: Another double checkmark. I got in one regular training session and ran 5K+ twice, plus I remembered to get in some light exercise while working or in the evenings. That's far, far better than I could've hoped for.
Eat healthier: Ugh. I knew this would be a tough goal, but it didn't help that big boxes with Christmas candy is already popping up at the office. I really, really need to focus on this bit next week.
Do the Christmas shopping: Yes! I almost want to give myself a hundred checkmarks for this one. I've never been close to getting the gift shopping done this early (or even started this early), but I bought the last two presents last night.
All in all, I'll call that an extremely successful week.
