Thanks for the review. This is one of King's books on my 'to-read' list. I have it on my Kindle; it's just a case of getting to it. It sounds as though you enjoyed the book, even if the film was a disappointment. I remember watching the film when I was about twelve or thirteen, and I expected to be terrified by the vampires. But, actually, my friends and I all ended up laughing at them. I think it was the way they called them vam-purrs. To this day, that is how we all pronounce the word. But, I digress. I was thinking about watching this film again this Halloween. Maybe I'll find some different films instead.
The Joker ... I've read bad things about the latest film. Which is a shame because it's another one I had wanted to watch. I loved the first film, and I'm not a comic book lover at all. But I loved 'Joker.' I think I'll still watch the new one, but without expecting too much of it. (It's still Joaquin Phoenix, so it can't be all bad .)
