I like psychological thrillers best. That said, there are a few police procedurals I love. Like Mark Billingham, a British crime writers who writes about a detective called Tom Thorne, who is a fantastic character. I also love the husband and wife writing team, Nicci French. They write psychological thrillers and procedural crime books. Lisa Gardner is another I really like. John Grisham. Shari Lapena. Lucy Clarke is someone I discovered a couple of years ago, and she is incredible! She writes thrillers, but she uses the most beautiful prose. I love that woman! As for writing, I try to write psychological thrillers. But it's a lot harder than it seems when I read it. You have to plan things out so thoroughly. And I'm rubbish at planning. My NaNo novel this year will have the main character doing terrible acts, but she will also be (hopefully) relatable and a character readers would root for. I'm not sure I can pull it off, but I'll never know if I don't try. Right? Do you dare enter the arena? Is your dragon ready to do battle? Then, check this out: "WDC Dragon Vale " |
