A month-long novel-planning challenge with prizes galore.

So I am on day 2, and this is where I look at the summaries of my novels in my trilogy. And here's what I've found so far.

1. Even though I have multiple POVs, and it should stay that way, I've since nailed down 2 major protagonists for each story. Giving the stories a focal point is probably the best way to go.

2. Working with the one-sentence summary more or less highlights where the big flaw is with book 3 in my novel. The big problem last time was a lack of an overarching plot. Or rather, something that was cohesive enough. And so working with the premise has now given me a major goal with books 2 and 3.

How did day 2 go for everyone else?

Nice work. For me with epic stories and long series, I've found it helpful to ease into the different character point of view situations. It's okay to have several but in the beginning, starting with a limited amount makes it a little easier for me to ease into thing.

I'm doing okay so far. I don't know much about the beginning of the YA novel that I'm prepping but the romance once that I've already written some are doing well.

However, I still have very few details. I don't like listing things like eye color and such, so will need to work on that and make some decisions.

I feel you on the trilogies/series. That premise exercise is an absolute lifesaver, and I've had to go back and re-prep (or just prep) things I've written because they squirrelled so far away from home.

Cheers,
Michelle

I have a series already in motion, just like me you have a multi level pov system. Don't forget reactions by the outside pov(the old man who witnessed a murder from five feet vs your detective who barley saved him)

have you hugged your writer
