Given that I've read quite a few by people IDK (including this one), I would agree. If the content is interesting, it doesn't matter that you don't know them. Silent Sisters was another by someone I didn't know. Sure, it was also true crime, but since it started from when she was a kid and discussed the abuse and neglect she experienced from then forward and went into her adulthood, up until she had grandchildren, I'd say it's also a memoir. While I feel like I should know Guy Branum, even after the book, I couldn't place him, so I guess IDK who he is...or I didn't. lol But his book was really good -- interesting, educational, and insightful.
