It can be but if you play occasionally on a casual basis with a player who does similarly it might work for you. I started learning years ago but didn't get too far. Life interruptions and my lack of interest at the time deep sixed my progress. I think I tried working on learning again later but again was thwarted. Now I have a renewed interest because I didn't officially quit. I realize now that it is well worth pursuing and learning to play this game. I know more about the game in a shart time now than I did years ago.
