I do think that one of the seven reversal sigils can destroy golems without needing to create a new sigil, cause it was mentioned in "Advice from a Dead Man" , so I think the ambiguity that exists is really just a matter of if there’s more than one sigil hidden in the 5th spell or if the 6th reversal works on regular golems as well. That being said, I think you have some really interesting thoughts about how Gerssdorff might have structured things with the book. The idea that the buildup in technique seen in the first seven spells might be reversed/mirrored in the reverse sigils both fits with the logic he seemed to use when writing the book, similar to the types of jokes that he seemed to enjoy leaving in the book.
I think you probably have the right idea with 2a and 2b. It fits with the what I was half expecting the answer to be when I asked the question, and just makes sense with the logic of the system.
