I definitely agree that it doesn’t feel like something Dorothy would do, but it fits even less with what Cassie would do, and Bailey also doesn’t seem the type. I’ve been operating on the assumption that there’s a group behind Clover. The actions Clover has taken are awfully bold if they’re just one person, though I suppose it’s not impossible for it to be one. If I recall correctly, most of the time Will has had encounters with Clover, they’ve had a bike. Might be noteworthy. I do think Laura fits in neatly here. In the section where Will gets swapped into Leah, if I recall correctly, they go to the theatre wing because it had something do with Laura and Elle, and as part of the theatre crew, she would definitely have access to the book, and of the relevant masks to do the messing with Will, especially given that the first time he saw the Elle impersonator was when he was out biking to meet her and she cancelled. I’d need to do some reading to see if the account he was texting was one of the fake ones set up by Clover or not, but even if it is, it’s not disqualifying. She could just be playing innocent. I might do some rereading myself and see what I see, though maybe not. I don’t much like the early parts of that storyline because of the gaslighting of Will makes me a bit uncomfortable. And I definitely don’t have a ‘keen eye’ lol. It also just occurs to me now that yesterday’s chapter might not necessarily be the actions of somebody who’s actually interested in Will, just somebody using Chelsea’s weaponization of sex to manipulate him. Eh, we’ll find out more sooner or later. |
