It is more than 1000 pages.
There are scenes in the book that show people being injured and killed. There are also two antagonists one featured more than the other, but if I explain more It might give more information that would spoil the story. The way it was structured at first gave me the idea it was a collection of short stories but I realised it wasn't after reading several pages.

It is worth reading because of the characters and mystery. The ending is great.
