Thanks for the review. This sounds like an interesting premise. It's a shame the author didn't make the most of it. It's good that you enjoyed it, anyway. I've just read a book that didn't really have a plot and everything was vague. It frustrated me. Honestly, I didn't enjoy it so much. This one sounds as though it, at least, had some interesting characters.
