The Misery movie does not convey the horror as fully as the book. The book has more gruesome details. Annie is twisted and does some stuff I wouldn't do to my worst enemy. At least as far as I know I wouldn't especially licking my fingers with...not spoiling the story. And, Paul having to deal with...well very painful stuff. A comparison of the movie like a cozy mystery compared to the book like a horror/...I can't think of what fits here but you should tighten your seatbelt when you embark on this journey.
