This week was a complete and utter failure. To be fair, it was mostly due to the flue catching hold of our household. My wife was down and out for a day or so, and so was I with both lingering head and stomach ache keeping my productivity low. And our eldest stayed home most of the week with a fever.
On top of that, there's a lot to get done at work before going on paternity leave in about a week. So... yeah. Not a great writing week. I don't think next week will be much better, though going on leave should mean more writing time about halfway through the week. So I remain cautiosly optimistic about next week. This week, though, was a waste.
Danish horror short story: I knew I was being optimistic when aiming to finish my Danish horror story, but I had not imagined just how short of the goal I would fall. I didn't even finish the scene I was working on. This goal is going directly into next weeks Goals post.
Write every day: I didn't even succeed here. I almost always reach this goal, at least for the weekdays, and I had a pretty good streak going. But, yeah, illness. To give myself a little credit, I did only miss one day and did manage to bounce back and start a new streak, even if I only managed a little each day.
Do a WYRM review: I don't know if I ever really believed this would be the week where I was going to kickstart my reviewing, but as I struggled just to find the time and energy to write, reading wasn't that high on the list of things to do.
Be active on Codex: This really should have been doable, but I haven't posted, liked, or participated in anyway on the Codex forum... Sigh. Next week, though. Next week.
