I have always enjoyed writing but never gave it much thought I just wrote when needed. During mental health and substance use therapy I began writing. It was mostly for homework, then leisure, and finally, I got serious about fulfilling a lifelong dream of writing my autobiography.
My mother was an avid writer and always encouraged me and enjoyed my writing when I was young. Unfortunately, she took her own life when I was 20 and did not live to see me follow this dream. She was working on a similar project when she passed and her writing has encouraged, inspired, and comforted me. One of my favorite quotes is from her writing, "Oh, to be a big black bear, who ever heard of a maladjusted bear!".
Anyway, I do tend to ramble so to the point. I have finished the 1st draft of the autobiography and it is in the hands of a trusted friend who is a professional writer and she is going through it.
I will begin to post parts from it as well as blog entries from my website soon.
