Wow! If you did all that and still aren't convinced, yeah, there's room for skepticism. I do believe there's an afterlife and I believe in ghosts, though exactly who/what they are, I'm unsure. I mean, why are there mostly just ghosts from the 1800's and early 1900's? Why don't we see caveman ghosts roaming around? What about ghosts from Native Americans here and invading Norsemen there? (Ignore any inaccurate European history--you get my point. lol) It seems odd to me.
Anyway, while I believe in spirits and ghosts, I don't believe that most of the folks who say they're talking to them really are. And those who really are, are they REALLY or do they just really believe they are? And are the beings who they say they are or just folks messing with us? And who wants to go to counseling in the afterlife?!? Counseling, where you're GENUINELY working through your trauma (not just the 'counseling' where you talk about your week) sucks and is really hard work. No one wants to do that in death after an apparently traumatic life.
