In my defense, the title seemed pretty self-explanatory.

I do normally read what the book is about, like 90-95% of the time, I think? But then, I'm now listening to ANOTHER book that's not what I thought it was.

But I swear, I'm sure I at least skimmed this book's description?

Of course, I say that and upon just reading it again, I realize that it does describe the book, but not what I thought I was getting myself into. Maybe I really didn't read the description...AGAIN.

What goes on in my head?!?!?
Well, this book is, uh, good, I guess? I don't know that I believe what it's talking about (it's nonfiction), but I will say it's given me goosebumps and made me a bit teary, so I guess it's good, even if I don't believe it all.

On the good side, it's MUCH shorter, like 6 1/2 hrs or something? Though he talks too fast, so I'm listening to it on a slower speed (first time I've ever fiddled with the speeds lol) and sometimes he's still a bit fast, but I want to just get through it and move on. I'm trying to get through all the ones I don't want to listen to (not necessarily this one) so I can get to the good stuff.
Oh, and it turns out I missed this month's library meeting here. It was on the 9th! Who has your first book challenge meeting on the 9th?? Yes, I had finished a book by then, but I think that's more the exception than the rule, IMO.

Well, maybe not, but still... Also, it wasn't on the Falkland Island Community Board like the last meeting I attended was.

These people need to get their act together so I don't have to.
DOH! Speaking of getting my act together, there's a meeting at the library in 37 minutes. It's a long walk, so I need to get going! It's a drawing group and I don't draw and they don't give lessons, but I could use the socialization since there's no money involved.
Take care and thanks for YOUR awesome challenge!

Maybe I'll annoy the drawers with all my discussion of the books I've been listening to.

I'll definitely say something to the librarian about not posting on the community board. lol
