Here's my review of The Talisman. I thought it was much better than the 2nd book in the series, Black House. I'm sort of glad I listened to them in the wrong order.

Yes, there would have been some connections that I would have appreciated in Black House, like how he got to calling himself a copisman, but those connections wouldn't have made me enjoy the book to the point that I would have recommended it. The things I didn't like were related to the way the story was written and told, not the any lack of understanding of the storyline or the characters. While I wouldn't call this a must-read, I did enjoy it and didn't feel like it was a waste of my life listening to it.

I've got 1 more long one, then while I have other books that are long, none are specifically chosen for the long category. Unless you tell me I can only get credit for 2 in this category.

This one, as far as I can tell, is NOT part of a book series. I try not to read series for these challenges unless it's a short series (like Jack Sawyer was, thankfully, since that was an accident lol). I find series make things too complicated, especially when I'm trying to match 2 book challenges at once.
Anyway, thanks for all you do with this challenge! It really is one of my favorite activities here!
